Temperatures in the high 30s are expected on Thursday, and portions of South Australia are under a fire watch.

Warnings of extremely high fire danger have been issued by the South African Weather Service for the Sarah Baartman District Municipality, Inxuba Yethemba, Enoch Mgijima and Walter Sisulu, Raymond Mhlaba, Amahlathi and Intsika Yethu Local Municipalities of the Eastern Cape; Beaufort West and Laingsburg municipalities of the Western Cape; and Intsika Yethu and Amahlathi Local Municipalities of the Western Cape.

Regarding the climate of your region:

The weather in the north will be warm, but it will be lovely and quite cool in Gauteng. The sunburn index due to UVB rays is not very high.

On the Highveld, it will be good, cold to warm, with patches of morning fog, but it will be quite hot over the Lowveld of Mpumalanga.

There may be some instances of morning fog in the central and western sections of Limpopo; otherwise, the weather will be excellent and pleasant.

It will be sunny and pleasant in the northwestern region.

The Free State will see clear skies and mild temperatures on Thursday, with the south of the province experiencing a change to partly cloudy conditions in the afternoon.

Along the coast of the Northern Cape, morning and evening fog will be present; elsewhere, the weather will be lovely and pleasant, while regions in the northern interior will experience scorching conditions. The wind will be blowing from the south at a moderate to brisk pace near the shore.

There will be morning fog around the coast of the Western Cape, but other than that, the weather will range from fine and chilly to warm but partly overcast near the south coast. Locations in the north-east will see high temperatures. The wind will be light to moderately blustery and from the south to the south-west along the coast.

The sunburn index anticipated from UVB exposure is high.

The western section of the Eastern Cape will see great weather with temperatures ranging from moderate to hot, while the coast will be chilly. In the afternoon, the sky will turn partly overcast, and there is a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms in the extreme northeast and north. Along the shore, the wind will be blowing from a somewhat south-westerly direction.

The eastern section of the Eastern Cape will have clear skies and temperatures ranging from moderate to hot, with partly overcast skies and a few scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

The province of KwaZulu-Natal may anticipate clear skies and pleasant temperatures. The wind will be moderate to gusty in a northerly to north-northeasterly direction near the shore. The sunburn index from UVB rays is predicted to be quite high.
