PM-KISAN: I Have Exciting News! The Government Examines the Development of a Database to Determine Which Farmers Are Eligible for Assistance – Know Here

On Wednesday, the Minister of Agriculture, Narendra Singh Tomar, oversaw a review of the progress being made on the database that is being compiled to facilitate the speedy identification of eligible farmers for the PM-KISAN and other programmes.

During a conference with state agricultural ministers that took place virtually, Tomar requested that the states finish the task of data verification and update as soon as possible so that no eligible farmer would be left out of the advantages of the programmes.

 

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) programme, qualified farmer families may get a monetary benefit of Rs 6,000 each 12 months via the PM-KISAN plan. This benefit is payable in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each.

 

According to an official release, “a database is being established for speedy identification of eligible farmers for PM-KISAN and other schemes and farmers’ welfare schemes to be implemented in the future.” This information would be used for programmes such as PM-KISAN.

 

Since it was first implemented in February of 2019, the PM-KISAN has dispersed a total of 11 instalments. According to the data, this programme has distributed more than two hundred thousand billion rupees to about eleven point seven billion qualified farmers.

 

To farmers who own their own land, PM-KISAN offers a benefit that is now available. Agriculture ministers from the states of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Bihar were present in the assembly.

 

In addition to that, the Secretary of Agriculture for the Union, Manoj Ahuja, as well as the Additional Secretary, Abhilaksh Likhi, were present at the assembly.

Today As part of the festivities to mark the twenty-fourth annual celebration of World Coconut Day, Tomar will, on September 2, open the Gujarat State Center of Coconut Board at Bahumali Bhavan in Junagadh. This event will take place in Junagadh.

 

It’s possible that the minister will also make an announcement about the recipients of the Board’s Export Excellence Awards as well as the National Awards.
