Massive Setback for India Just Before the ICC Twenty20 World Cup, India’s T20 World Cup Squad Listed Here
The All-India Senior Selection Committee held a meeting on Monday to choose India’s teams for the forthcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia as well as for the T20 International series that will be played against Australia and South Africa in India.
India’s team for the ICC Twenty20 World Cup is as follows:
Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket-keeper), Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.
Ravindra Jadeja, an all-rounder for India, will not be participating in the ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2022 as a result of an injury. This news comes as a devastating blow to India.
Earlier, before India’s Super Four match against Pakistan on September 4, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid said that Jadeja incurred an injury in his knee and as a consequence, was ruled out of participating in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. This news came just before India’s match against Pakistan. An additional bowling all-rounder by the name of Axar Patel was announced to take his position.
His absence from the team at the World Cup in Australia would be a significant setback for India’s chances of winning the tournament. The team will be missing out on Jadeja’s rocket-like straight throws, left-arm spin, and left-handed hitting, among other things.
