Bhat ImranSrinagar, Sep 10 (KNO): According to official records, at least 73 percent of the educators who were assigned at government-run schools in Jammu and Kashmir were exclusively educating the Primary and Upper Primary Level children. This information was gleaned through a survey of instructors. According to the findings of the news organisation Kashmir News Observer (KNO), at least 37 percent of the educators in the region are only instructing children in the Primary Level.
In addition to this, it also claims that more than 36 percent of the instructors were only working with pupils who were in the Upper Primary Level.
According to the statistics that are kept by the Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE), there were a total of 1,016,72 teachers working in the School Education Department across the state of Jammu and Kashmir. At least 38,300 of these teachers were posted at the Primary Level only, followed by 36,908 teachers working at the Upper Primary Level.
UDISE has also claimed that there are just 15,570 instructors currently instructing pupils at the secondary level in Jammu & Kashmir.
In a similar vein, the data show that just a little more than seven percent of instructors were assigned to educate students in senior secondary school. At this point in time, there were only 7839 instructors working with the kids. According to the statistics, there were only 2893 instructors who were responsible for instructing pupils at both the primary and pre-primary levels, followed by 85 teachers at the secondary and senior secondary levels. It also shows that there were only 21 instructors teaching students in the Primary and Upper Primary levels, whereas there were 56 teachers teaching students in the Upper Primary and Secondary levels respectively— (KNO)
