According to a tweet by Rahul Gandhi, the dream of India has been fractured and not destroyed.

India is working to strengthen its connections in order to realise a shared vision. The first one hundred kilometres of the path have been travelled.
News Delhi: Rahul Gandhi, a former president of the Congress who is now participating in the Bharat Jodo Yatra, said on Monday that the goal of his travels in the event is to connect the aspirations of the nation. According to him, the hope of the nation had been shattered but not entirely extinguished by the policies of the administration. It is his hope that by walking the 3,600 kilometres from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, he would be able to repair the links between this fantasy and the real world.

The “Bharat Jodo Yatra” led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi landed at Parsala on Sunday. Parsala is located in close proximity to the border with Kerala. KPCC President and MP K Sidhakaran, Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Assembly VD Satisan, and AICC General Secretary Tariq welcomed Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodu Yatra” from Wayanad, Kerala. Anwar, top-ranking Congressmen Ramesh Channithala, Oommen Chandy, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, MM Hasan, and Kodikunil Suresh, along with other senior Congressmen The Yatra is modelled after a trek that goes all the way from Kashmir to Kanyakumari on foot.

 

Monday saw the Padyatra make its way from Neem all the way to Kuzakottam. On Tuesday, the Kazha will get underway from Kottam and make its way to Kalambalam. Kollam will be the first stop for the Yatra on September 14, and Alpuzha will be the destination on September 17. Ernakulam will be the first city it will reach on September 21, followed by Thrissur on September 23. The Yatra will first make its way into Palakkad on September 26 and then onto Malappuram on September 28. Later on, the Yatra will go via Gudalur in Tamil Nadu on its way towards Karnataka. More than 300 workers from the Congress organisation are taking part in the padyatra. Director Adoor Gopalakrishnan believes that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan ought to be the one to meet and welcome Mr. Rahul Gandhi upon his arrival in the state of Kerala.
